Drilling for water

PROJECT OF DRILLING FOR WATER TO SUPPORT THE SCHOOL

In rural areas, the conditions of access to drinking water are very difficult.

Women and children have the chore of fetching water sometimes walking many miles several times a day. On foot, helped by a donkey with a cart or carrying jugs on their heads, they go to draw water from ponds, which are the only supply points. This stagnant water contributes to the spread of malaria, which, let us not forget, competes with aids as the leading cause of death in Africa. Also, the consumption of this water often leads to diarrheal diseases.

By joining this water drilling project, you will contribute to 180 children having access to water in the school and the irrigation of the orchard, which will be planted to support this programme.

By draining these ponds, which are no longer necessary, you will also participate in reducing one of the causes of the spread of malaria, which is so feared in Africa.

10,000€ is the cost of a borehole with a water tower, which will provide water for hundreds of children and will give the required pressure to irrigate the land.
